Lamont "MoMo" Jones
We all have a story. No one persons story is more important than the others, but its what you do with that story that makes you who you become in this world.
Born Lamont Dasean Jones, Lamont has an older brother and a little sister both in which play big roles in his life. His mother Jeneen Fuller who raised him as a single parent and did the best job she could, even when she was told a women couldn't raise a man. Because of that MoMo is a true Momma's boy and family guy.
Growing up without the typical family atmosphere MoMo promised to himself that he would be the man everyone could look up too and that he would create a family, a big family something he didnt have growing up. With that in mind he worked harder and harder everyday to build a foundation and a life not only he could be proud of when it's all said and done, but that mainly his family, friends, and fans could be proud of when its done.
During college MoMo would start building that family when his first son Jace' Denim Jones was born on May 13, 2013. After the birth of his son he became a more focused and better person,vowing to make right with all his demons. With that his senior season in college was phenomonal gaining MAAC Play of the Year, New York State College Player of the Year, he won a MAAC Championship and also lead the country in scoring that year.
After leaving the campus of Iona College after his senior year he would go on to get picked up by the Boston Celtics as a rookie, only to end up playing professionally in Kumamoto, Japan for his rookie campaign. During the 2013-14 season MoMo would make strides towards expending that family he always wanted with his second son Lamont Dasean Jones Jr. who sortly passed away three weeks before his actual due date. It hit him hard and it changed his whole outlook on everything in life. With his wife Mariah he is now trying to move forward and come to grips with what has happened, but at the same token he has vowed to give back more then ever now, giving kids around the inner city and other states a fair chance at living out their dreams, goals, and learning new things as his son Lamont Jr. didn't get that fair chance at life.
Now with two sons(Jace' and Lamont Jr.), a wife(Mariah) he sets out to continue to build on to his life, his families life, and to others lives. This foundation and skills academy is his family as he would say and the children and parents who believe in MoMo enough to send their children to learn from him will become his family for life and he is set to give his all and do his best to show the kids of today that there's a better life out her then what society tells us and what we see on the street corners everyday.
